The timer for these island starts when you first enter them, but you can do this at any time you want (start, that is) and when you feel ready. You can complete the islands in a different order than the one they were added. While completing the special tasks, you can get back the 20 gems that were spent to enter again the island. If you pay the cost to reenter the island, the quests will start again from the beginning.

You can then try to complete the island again at the cost of 20 gems - only the first time is free - and you can do it again both if you completed the quests or if you didn't manage to. These islands become available at level 15 and will be open for 10 days. Since Chapter 3, story island can be very energy and resource demanding, so be patient, clear as much as possible resources of previous islands and explore them while taking your time: they are not time limited -) Since Chapter 2, Pots in the island can ask for more than one ingredient to make energy recipes. You will encounter Trader Rahul in each island, except for home island: his resource tasks are a good way to get more rewards such gold, experience, gems and useful production items.
